Beach of the Farol da Barra

The beach at Barra Lighthouse is located in Barra, the second beach of this district following the beach of Porto da Barra.

The beach begins near Fort St. Anthony, known as the Lighthouse Bar, where the Nautical Museum of Bahia, and extending up the hill of Christ, where there is an image of Christ the Redeemer.
The beach is about 5km from the center, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean.
Part of the beach is protected by reefs, offers, especially at low tide, the sea with small waves and pools.
Next to the hill of Christ already is conducive to sea with waves for surfing, very common in the area.
